Important COVID-19 Update: March 13, 2020

Dear Valued OK Kosher Certified Company,

We’re all in this together, adapting to face the reality and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to let you know that it’s our fervent wish and prayer here at OK Kosher that everyone worldwide will stay safe and healthy.

As you know, the backbone of kosher certification is the system of regular inspection visits from a qualified OK representative at each certified facility. Being that OK Kosher is a global organization with over 85 years of experience, we are fortunate to have local representatives in almost every location in the world. We understand and respect each facility’s policies and procedures regarding outside visitors at this time, and always. That’s why we’re working with you to make sure our inspections, which are crucial to the maintenance of your kosher program, are being conducted safely and advisably. We therefore request that you continue to accommodate these visits by the local representatives without interruption. If you have any specific requirements for this, please make our representative and your office-based Rabbinic Coordinator aware of them. In addition, please share this timely COVID-19 update with your facility personnel, as appropriate.

We understand the need for flexibility regarding inspections conducted by our office-based Rabbinic Coordinators where international travel is involved. Over the next few weeks, we will postpone such visits, where necessary. We’re continually consulting with government and medical authorities and taking steps based on their guidance.

We appreciate your commitment to kosher, and your trust in OK Kosher as your certifying agency. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your office-based Account Rep. If your Account Rep’s contact information is not handy, you may always contact [email protected].

We have all of you in our thoughts and prayers at this challenging time.

Sincerely,

Rabbi Don Yoel Levy

CEO and Rabbinic Administrator
