Q If I left cut onions overnight, can I salvage them by adding oil or salt in the morning?

A No. To rely on the Halachic opinion that allows one to preserve cut onions overnight by adding oil or salt, the oil or salt needs to be added before leaving them overnight, not after. Refrigerating or sealing the onions in a container does not remove the concern of leaving them overnight.
