Hard Cider & Hard Lemonade

HARD CIDER IS a fermented alcoholic beverage, like wine, made by fermenting apple juice.

Hard lemonade is typically made from a fermented malt base, like traditional beer. The malt base undergoes a filtration process to remove the typical malt characteristics (color and odor). The neutral alcohol base is combined with natural or artificial lemon flavors and sugars, creating an alcoholic version of lemonade.

Hard cider and hard lemonade always require a reliable hechsher due to the kashrus concerns of added ingredients and the possibility of shared equipment with non-kosher products.
