Laura and I would like to express our sincere condolences to Rabbi Levy’s Family, Friends and Colleagues.

The first time I had the opportunity to meet Rabbi Levy, OBM, was when he visited the Hunt-Wesson corporate campus in Fullerton, California in the late 1980s. As we shook hands, I could tell he was a man of deep faith and kindness. As my kosher responsibilities in the company expanded I had the opportunity to spend more time in phone conversations as well as personal visits with Rabbi Levy.

Laura and I have fond memories of attending one of his daughter’s wedding. We were there as representatives of the food manufacturing company I worked for. As the Father of the Bride he had many duties and responsibilities. Yet he still took the time to personally welcome us. It was a beautiful and joyous occasion that we still remember with great fondness.

Over the years, I never left a conversation with Rabbi Levy without learning some new concept or principle of Kashruth. His explanations were exact and with a level of detail equal to my understanding at the time. It is my experience this is a gift given from G-d to Master Teachers. I consider it a blessing to have been taught these things by Rabbi Levy.

Rabbi Levy always made me feel like I was a dear friend and colleague. More importantly he made me feel that I was a treasured member of his extended family, for which I am eternally grateful. Rabbi Levy will always hold a special place in my heart. I will miss him.
